ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s campaign trail pledged to usher in a new era for Pakistan by way of multiple reforms, a promise which led to great expectations and equally skeptic views.
As people anxiously wait for 2019 to unfold, Arab News took to the streets of Islamabad to ask residents what they expected from PM Khan’s administration in the new year. And the response was both optimistic and pessimistic in equal measure.
While several said they were looking forward for things to get better, others detailed it further by demanding education for all, a stable economy, initiatives to tap into youth potential, and for the government to deliver on its promise of a ‘Naya Pakistan.’
