French fine jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels has opened a unique pop-up celebrating the iconic moments of its most famous jewelry motif — Alhambra — in Riyadh’s Centria Mall.
Reaffirming the timeless elegance of the Alhambra motif, this immersive experience will be the first of its kind in the Kingdom where the maison will present the collection’s story and its latest creations.
The pop-up expresses the values of the Alhambra collection through four distinctive spaces. The first one highlights the timelessness of the collection and showcases historical aesthetics representing the first designs of Alhambra dating back to 1968. The second one features the inspiration of the collection — the four-leaf clover shape — displaying creations and worn views that have drawn on this “symbol of luck.” In this space, an origamist will be present and share lucky symbols with visitors. In the third part dedicated to know-how, the rigorously selected, natural and precious materials highlighting the craftsmanship of Van Cleef & Arpels will be revealed. Finally, the fourth space will display contemporary creations such as the Magic Alhambra long necklaces, a ring in guilloché yellow gold, and a jewelry watch.
Alessandro Maffi, managing director of Van Cleef & Arpels Middle East and India, said: “The Alhambra collection is a playful ode to luck that is perfectly in line with the maison’s timeless style. This year is significant for Van Cleef & Arpels in Saudi Arabia as we offer our clientele an enchanting experience to discover decades of the maison’s jewelry savoir-faire and illustrious heritage with Alhambra creations. We welcome you to visit our popup and boutique in Centria Mall to view several exquisite variations from this iconic collection.”
The pop-up space, which is open until Feb. 25, will follow strict guidelines and regulations ensuring visitors’ safety.
