JEDDAH, 7 March 2004 — Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf arrived here yesterday afternoon on a two-day official visit. He was received at the airport by Jeddah Governor Prince Mishaal.
Musharraf is accompanied by four ministers: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister of State for Defense Production Habibullah Warraich and IT Minister Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari.
Soon after arrival, they left for Makkah to perform Umrah. Later they went to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and will then travel to Riyadh.
Musharraf and his delegation leave on Sunday night.
During his short visit, the Pakistan president is to meet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd, Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, and other senior ministers.
Talks will include means of strengthening bilateral relations, the Middle East situation, Iraq and Pakistan’s relations with India.
