On Saturday, Undersecretary of the National Guard in the Western Region Prince Khaled bin Faisal bin Turki will open in Jeddah an exhibition called “Kingdom of Humanity and King of Peace.”
He will also open a scientific seminar at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) hosted by the university’s college of economy and public administration.
The seminar will discuss two topics: Neo-Orientalism and its relationship with extremism in the West, and fear of Islam.
Since last year, it has been decided to hold some cultural and intellectual activities of Janadriyah outside Riyadh.
The world financial crisis was the theme of two seminars held last year both at the KAU and Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah.
Chairman of the supreme committee of the festival Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, cabinet member and chairman of the National Guard, invited the university to participate in the festival by organizing the seminar.
Concurrently with the exhibition and the seminar, folklore dances and a dinner party will be held at the College of Marine Sciences in Obhur.
Another version of the exhibition will be held at the Red Sea Mall on Tuesday and will be opened by rector of KAU Osama Tayib. The exhibition will continue for four days.
Prince Khaled will also attend a poetry night at the Jeddah Literary Club on Tuesday evening.
A large number of guests, including scientists, thinkers, authors and media personalities from around the world, are attending cultural and intellectual events on the sidelines of the festival, which is organized by the National Guard.
