LONDON: Lily Allen has reassured fans that she is “absolutely fine” following claims she collapsed at the Notting Hill Carnival in west London recently.
A video was released which appears to show the singer unconscious and then being carried off on her friend’s shoulders.
The 31-year-old initially acknowledged that her carnival experience may not have gone quite to plan.
But after a local newspaper approached her for an explanation she posted her response.
Fans have tweeted their support for the singer, saying she was only having a good time.
Although the singer is a staunch supporter of the Labour Party, she was credited with helping inspire a parliamentary rebellion against former Prime Minister Gordon Brown when she wrote to all Members of Parliament asking them to back an amendment to an energy bill.
