A drug dealer in the US was arrested after phoning police to report that thieves had stolen cash and his stash of cocaine.

David Blackmon, 35, told police a thief had broken into his car and grabbed $50 as well as 0.25 of an ounce of cocaine, according to the Okaloosa County sheriff’s office Facebook page.

Bizarrely he told officers from the Okaloosa County sheriff’s office, in Florida that he was a drug dealer.

On arrival police found even more cocaine and a rock of the highly addictive crack cocaine, as well as a pipe for smoking it, hidden in his car.

He was arrested on Sunday and charged with resisting arrest without violence, as well as possession of the drugs and pipe.

Blackmon is awaiting a court hearing.
