In support of Operation Decisive Storm, King Khaled University has provided more than 200 consultants, specialists and students to provide medical services to soldiers on the southern border, and support medical teams working in hospitals in the region.

Participating medical staff from the university's school of medicine include consultants and surgeons in all specialties, as well as physicians specializing in emergency medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, gynecology and obstetrics.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Clinical Affairs Dr. Ali bin Obaid Al-Bashahi, Dr. Hassan bin Mohammed Al-Mousa, head of the Family and Community Medicine Department, and other department heads were tasked with overseeing preparations and implementation of support efforts.

Under the guidance of Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shahrani, the faculty of dentistry provided eight medical consultants in oral and maxillofacial surgery, a number of interns, as well as a mobile dentistry unit as needed.

A team of seven pharmacists, 40 radiology specialists and 40 specialists from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science are also participating.

A full post-injury medical rehabilitation unit was prepared to treat casualties.

Dr. Mishael Al-Ailani also supervised the participation of 10 faculty members and 25 nursing specialists from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushayt.
