RIYADH: There are 25 festivals set up for the upcoming midterm holidays, covering heritage, sports, entertainment and cultural activities.

The events have been organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and its partners, according to a report in a local publication on Tuesday.

Makkah Province hosts “Like Old Times” heritage festival in Al-Karra entertainment spa in Taif, the “Rose Festival” in Al-Shula tourist village in Taif, and the “New You” festival in Jeddah.

Tabuk Province has many activities that include the “Horses and Cardamom” Spring festival from March 9 to 19. Asir will host the Mahayil festival in Al-Hila.

The Eastern Province has several including the marine heritage festival at King Abdullah Park in Dammam; the People’s Heritage festival at the waterfront in Alfanateer, and the Al-Ahsa festival for traditional and heritage games in Al-Sheib park.

The northern border area celebrates the holiday with the Tareef popular festival and a falcon’s competition. Al-Jouf hosts a spring festival in Sakaka. Jazan will have a shopping tent on the corniche, and Najran the “We all love heritage,” festival. Riyadh has organized the Al-Mujamma’ shopping festival at the municipal square, and a spring festival in Al-Jazira neighborhood.

Al-Qasim hosts the eighth Klaja festival at King Khalid cultural center in Bareeda; Al-Maskouf heritage festival in Aneeza, Al-Ghada 37 festival in Aneeza, and the Sameen festival in the general park in Aqlat Al-Sqour. Madinah hosts three festivals with the Flower Festival in Yanbu, the fourth festival for heritage in Khaibar and spring festival 37 in King Fahad Park.
