RIYADH: Alif International School Riyadh celebrated “Good Bye Kindergarten 2016,” with colorful programs. The graduation ceremony of the upper kindergarten batches was the key attraction of the program.

Anil Nautiyal, first secretary at the Indian Embassy, inaugurated the function. He urged the educationists to stress on the creative development of the students apart from the scholastic activities. He praised Alif school for paying importance to kindergarten section, the cradle of tomorrow’s great achievers.

Principal K.C Muhammed Shaijal presided over the function. Khalid Al-Zeer, a prominent lawyer and president of Alif Group, presented mementos to the guests and KG teachers.

Alif Educational Trust Chairman Alikunhi Maulavi spoke at the event. Shihab Kottukad, noted social worker and Norka consultant, Trust Executive Director Luqman Pazhur, Shakeeb Kolakkad (Media Forum) and Rasheed Qasimi (Gulf Thejas) were among the guests.

Academic Coordinator Aemon Faruque Khan inaugurated the “Alif Expo — Vision 2016.” Headmistress Daisamma Jacob delivered the welcome address and KG Coordinator Sonia Mustafa proposed the vote of thanks.

Various arts and cultural programs were performed by the students as part of the celebrations. The dance drama, “A tribute to Hanamanthappa,” which paid homage to the great Indian soldier who sacrificed his life in the immensely frozen Siachin glacier last week, stole the hearts of the audience.

Staff members, including Abdul Aziz, Ashkar Usman, Baby Asoora, Shafiya Fathima, Nijitha P., Syda Fatima, Ayisha Banu, Jumaila Yusuf Usman, Riyas, Basheer and Midlaj, provided leadership for the program.
