RIYADH: Princess Nouf bint Miteb bin Abdullah has launched in Riyadh a social project, named “Moon,” aimed to offer resources and support to parents to help them care for their children.

Princess Nouf said: “Our focus is to create a platform for parents to meet, discuss and share best practices and tips on parenting. It is our goal to create an event that will help parents form strong and lasting connections with each other and with specialists in various fields which will offer them the support they need to bring up children in these unpredictable times.

“We believe that children not only learn from what they do but also from what they see their parents do.”

She noted that proceeds from tickets for the event will go to charity. For the last event it went to children with Down syndrome and this event’s proceeds will go to children with cancer.

Sarah Mohammed, assistant executive director of the Moon project, said the project aims at organizing events to help parents prepare children for life by providing consultancy services and practical tips through workshops and activities.
