During the weekly Cabinet meeting on Monday, the ministers lauded the organizers of the second International Conference on the History of King Abdul Aziz, held at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, which highlighted the achievements and leadership qualities of the late monarch.

On other matters, the Cabinet approved the deal signed between the Kingdom and the Republic of Tajikistan on the avoidance of dual taxation, and tax evasion on income and capital tax.

The Cabinet also ordered that the Transport Ministry ensures that it has a representative on all committees supervising public transport projects in Madinah, Dammam, Jeddah and Qatif.

It authorized the General Authority of Civil Aviation to sign air service deals between Saudi Arabia and the governments of Iraq, Mauritania, Iceland and Albania.

The Cabinet approved the following appointments: Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Shinaifi as director general of technical affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Grade 15; and Abdullah bin Miflih bin Abdullah Al-Sharif as the director general in Makkah region for the Ministry of Justice, Grade 15.

Other appointments include Abdullah bin Miqhim bin Abdullah Al-Miqhim as the director general of the customs department at Jeddah Islamic Port, Grade 15; and Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Awn Al-Qarni as the director general of international representation at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Grade 14.
