Southern Bohemia, home town of my father.

I have friends in all the countries in the world I visited.

I quietly count to ten and back. And in most cases, the anger is over.
• What is your source of strength during tough times?
My wife and children. I also remember what I learned from my parents.

The Kingdom is a country with huge potential and many opportunities.
• Which Saudi city fascinated you most?
Jeddah for its history and cosmopolitan character.
• Your favorite Saudi dish?
Fresh sea fish. For a landsman from the heart of Europe, this is a real pleasure.
• The thing about Kingdom that you will always remember?
Everyday efforts by its people to overpower the desert and build a prosperous country.
• If you were given only one option between Facebook and Twitter, what would you prefer?
I prefer e-mails. I do not use Facebook, nor Twitter.
• If you had not become a diplomat, what would have been your profession?
Diplomacy has been my profession for 16 years. I have already worked as a scientist in geophysics, as a university professor, as a politician.
• Is hiding the truth acceptable in diplomacy?
If it is for final benefit of all parties, then it is OK.
• How do you keep yourself fit?
Daily sports: Running, riding bike, swimming.
• Your favorite restaurant?
Najdi Village in Riyadh.
• You are a fan of which football club?
FC Banik Ostrava, my local Moravian club.

Jan Werich, he was a brilliant Czech personality.

Sports, playing musical instruments, composing music, reading books.
