JEDDAH: The main streets, public squares, gardens, parks and seafronts of Dammam are adorned with winter seasonal flowers which grow beautifully at this time of the year.

Many of these seasonal flowers have been planted by visitors and residents of the city, especially at the intersections on roads and in public squares and yards.

Mohammed Al-Sufian, director of Public Relations and Media, and spokesman of the Eastern Province Municipality said that the seafronts of Corniche and the streets have been beautified with new green landscapes and sustainable flowers, while the entrance of the city Dammam has been adorned with more than 11 million seasonal flowers.

He called on citizens, residents and visitors of other regions to come and enjoy the flowers in the city, asserting that the EP municipality is keen on increasing the number of flowers that planted annually, to keep pace with the expansion of squares and parks in the city.

“This comes within the municipality’s plans to prepare the beaches, streets and public squares with green landscapes and flowers to increase attractiveness in the city,” Al-Sufian was quoted as saying to local media.

He added that more than 8 million square meters have been planted with green vegetation in addition to more than 10 million trees and saplings during the past years all around the EP region.
