Saudi diplomats in the United States and Sudan have praised the Kingdom’s leadership for Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen.

Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudairi, Saudi consul general in Los Angeles, said Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman had taken a “wise and firm decision” as commander of the armed forces. This would protect the Muslim and Arab world from those trying to undermine its security, he said.

“As soon as the leader of this blessed country, the qiblah of Muslims, ordered us to answer the call of our brothers in Yemen, the men of our armed forces and citizens stood behind him ...” He said Muslim and Arab countries in the Gulf supported the action against the “injustice and aggression” of the Houthis in Yemen.

The Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Faisal bin Hamid Al-Mualla also hailed the ongoing operation. He made the remarks at a ceremony hosted by the General President of Ansar Al-Sunnah Almohammadiah in Sudan Ismail Osman Mohamed Al-Mahi on Thursday in Khartoum.

The ceremony was held to honor Hamad bin Abdulaziz Aljomaih and Ibrahim bin Mohammed Abu Abah, members of the Shoura Council, for their efforts to spread Islam and help those in need.

Al-Mualla said the Saudi leadership had taken the right decision to rally Arab and other countries to fight the Houthis and restore the legitimate government in the country. He said the Kingdom and Sudan have maintained strong bilateral relations.
