DAMMAM: Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince, and Deputy Crown Prince, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the National Day of Saudi Arabia.

In his speech on this occasion, he commended the Kingdom’s gigantic achievements in all fields at home, its influential status in regional, Arab, Islamic and international arenas, and support for Arab and Islamic issues around the world.

“Current security level achieved in the Kingdom did not come from a vacuum, but after hard work and application of Shariah,” Prince Saud said. He also thanked all security men who spare no effort for the maintenance of security in all regions of the country, confirming that they are the protectors of security.

The governor also congratulated the leadership for this year’s pilgrimage success, praising the efforts of the leadership to serve the pilgrims, and hoping for the continuation of the security, stability and development in this homeland.

“Despite the surrounding conflicts and unrest, observers can witness the continuing march of progress our people have lived at all levels and of which they are too well aware, along with safety and security felt by all residents, visitors and citizens in the Kingdom,” he said.

The council was attended by Al-Ahsa Gov. Prince Badr bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Prince Turki bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, commander of the King Abdul Aziz Air Base in Dhahran, Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, EP general supervisor of administrative development and purification.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Raqeeb, president of the region’s Court of Appeals, Khaled Al-Sultan, director of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dammam University Rector Abdullah Al-Rubaish, Abdul-Aziz Al-Saati, director of King Faisal University, and Khaled Al-Battal, the province’s secretary general.
