The Al-Sakinah Campaign for Dialogue, which was launched by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, is set to adopt a new project in support of moderation among Islamic societies throughout the world, via the Internet.

The project will broadcast targeted programs in the Turkish language which will approach issues of current concern within Islamic communities in a new way, based on balance, moderation and mutual cooperation.

Reliable sources told to a local publication that Al-Sakinah Campaign would later broadcast other programs in a number of European languages to engender increased levels of understanding regarding sound Islamic concepts at the global level.

The sources added that the campaign is in the process of developing a new phase for Saudi–Turkish relations as part of its media policy to enhance positive relations among Islamic communities worldwide.

The campaign seeks to serve as a scientific and educational platform about moderation issues, said the sources, noting that the project is deemed a leading step toward the opening of better cross-country relations, and will contribute to furthering mutual cooperation in order to combat violence and terrorism.

It also seeks to spread proper Islamic understanding of often-problematic topics, such as Jihad and Takfeer, through intellectual, cultural and scientific solidarity. The approach by which Al-Sakinah Campaign will address such issues will be characterized by calmness. inclusiveness and finding solutions within the ambit of Islamic schools.
