Iranian and Lebanese military officers belonging to Hezbollah have been found in the operation room of the Houthis, a Yemeni official said Monday. “These foreign officers manage the operation room of the Houthis and followers of the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh,” he added.

The official said the fighters who have been taken hostage from the enemy side are Houthis and Saleh fighters. “We have also caught two officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Abu Mohammed Al-Adani, a leader of the Yemeni resistance force in Aden and its official spokesman, said: “The resistance is gaining strength day after day with the whole Aden population rallying behind it. This indicates that Aden will be liberated from the Houthis shortly.”

Al-Adani said the Houthi militia was carrying out its attacks without any objective or legitimacy. “At the same time, the resistance has the legitimacy and determination to defeat rebel forces in order to restore legitimacy,” he added.

In a related development, Yemeni tribes in Shabwa have opened their first military training camp to fight against the Houthis and Saleh supporters. At the same time, prominent tribal leaders in Hadramout have formed a joint force to safeguard the largest oil field in the country.

“People of Hadramout have formed a joint force to protect oil companies in the city and confront foreign forces who try to take control of them,” said Sheikh Abdullah Al-Kuthairy, head of the tribal leaders.

He commended the humanitarian gesture of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman by ordering the distribution of relief supplies worth $274 million among the Yemenis through the United Nations.
