RIYADH: International Indian Public School, Riyadh (IIPS-R) congratulated their outstanding achievers for 2015-16 academic and held co-curricular activities at a grand ceremony organized at the school.

Around 200 students were honored for winning various positions in diverse competitions including sports.

The annual function held recently began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an followed by a welcome address from IIPS Principal K. M. Abdul Azeez in which he highlighted the series of achievements by the students in academic and non-academic activities at the school and interschool level including the Science Olympiad Foundation.

He highlighted the school’s accomplishments during the past academic year and informed the gathering of the school’s future plans for the next year, while lauding the students for bringing laurels to the school and encouraging them to excel in every field.

Speaking on the occasion, Navaz Abdul Rasheed, IIPS management committee chairman, delivered an inspirational speech to motivate students to work hard and follow the path of academic integrity and honesty towards their parents as sincere students to fulfill their dreams.

He cited various instances and advised students to aim high in life.

Arshad Ali Khan, planning coordinator, said that “the happiest moment for us was that our school students’ performance was excellent in the interschool science Olympiad, the mathematics and English Olympiads, which is greatly satisfying for the school planning coordinator.”

Vice Principal Shabana Parveen proposed a vote of thanks to the guests including parents who were attending the annual function.

On the occasion, the IIPS-R student's chronicle, a school magazine comprising literary contributions from students of higher classes, was also released.

Saba Sayyed, editor of the chronicle, commended students for their rich contributions for this colorful school magazine.

School management committee members Sheikh Abdullah, Abdul Malik and M.C. Suresh attended the annual function and appreciated the efforts of teachers in producing good results, while expressing their satisfaction and congratulated position holding boys and girls.
