RIYADH: Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz bin Musaed told educators to instill integrity and principles in students, including those in primary schools.

“The Saudi leadership headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has not spared any effort in supporting education,” he said.

Prince Jalawi made the statement as he received in his office Director General of Education Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Shouraim Asiri and education department officials.

“With the generous support of the Saudi leadership, we must establish a clear approach to integrity and fight against corruption in all its manifestations,” he said.

“We must instill good manners into our students starting from the elementary grades so that these become a part and parcel of their personality,” he said.

Stressing the important role of teachers in society, Prince Jalawi said the foundation of education is the teacher, and urged the education officials to focus not only on students but also on teachers.

He said they should help the teachers in every possible way so that they can perform their duties efficiently.

“As teachers, they should also be good-mannered and morally capable so that they could impart knowledge effectively and produce good students,” he said, adding that teachers should set a good example for students.

“The Saudi people live according to the fundamentals and regulations emanating from the Islamic law in various areas of life and we should avoid attempts to undermine our society,” he said.

Prince Jalawi urged the youth to preserve Saudi culture because “it represents the future.”
