RIYADH: Jazan Gov. Prince Mohammed bin Nasser awarded on Tuesday the shield of excellence to the Department of Education for being top among government agencies in the application of security requirements in the region.

Prince Mohammed bin Nasser expressed his hope that the education department personnel will continue their efforts in the application of security requirements and exemplify the government’s concern as well as enthusiasm about it.

“We need the help and cooperation of everyone in the government sector so that the application of security requirements in the region becomes part of everyday life,” he said.

He said that if and when the different government agencies take care to observe security requirements it would eventually rebound to their own benefit.

“There would be security in the workplace. Not only that. The money saved as we observe security requirements could be channeled to other projects for the benefit of the citizens in the region,” he said.

Director of Education Dr. Asiri bin Ahmed Al-Ahwas received the award from Prince Mohammed bin Nasser, who congratulated him and expressed appreciation for the department’s performance.

He expressed his thanks , saying that “this signal honor will serve as incentive for the employees of the Department of Education to work harder in the observance of security requirements.”

The awarding ceremony was attended and witnessed by various officials of government departments which participated in the contest and other invited guests.

“This project should be conducted on a regular basis so that it sinks into the consciousness of all those concerned,” one of the guests said.

The awarding ceremony was the culmination of efforts of government sectors in the region to raise the level of security and safety in facilities to international standards at the workplace.
