CAIRO: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman will visit Egypt on April 4, the kingdom’s ambassador to Egypt said on Thursday.

Ambassador Ahmad ben Abdul Aziz Qattan said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the visit reflects the strong ties between the two countries.

Egyptian President Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi last visited Saudi Arabia in March last year.

Egypt is part of the Saudi-led coalition helping the United Nations-recognized government of Yemen President Abed-Rabbu Mansour Hadi fight Iran-backed Houthi rebels and armed loyalists of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
