RIYADH: Terrorists won’t find a safe haven in the Kingdom and they will not be able to escape from the authorities, a spokesman of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said, while calling them to surrender.

“It’s better for them to surrender before it’s too late,” Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, spokesman of the ministry, was quoted as saying by an online newspaper.

The ministry spokesman praised the members of the security forces for their accomplishment that “resulted in the destruction of the terrorists who killed Sergeant Badr Rashidi.”

Al-Turki was referring to the killing of six terror suspects by security forces during an exchange of fire in Al-Mustajiddah village of El-Ghazala, 100 km south of Hail, on the Hail-Madinah road in the Reealbikr region.

The slain terror suspects were on the wanted list issued by the ministry and carried rewards of up to SR5 million.

They were suspected to be involved in the ghastly murder of Rashidi, a Special Emergency Forces soldier, in a remote area in Qassim last month.

“We‘re telling every stray element that you will not find a place of refuge or security in this country and it will not take a long time for our security forces to get you with the help of the citizens,” warned Al-Turki.

“We hope that you take the initiative of surrendering now to the security forces and those who have not yet stained their hands with blood to return to their senses and take the right path before they commit something that they’ll regret,” he added.
