RIYADH: King Saud University (KSU), which leads the vanguard in promoting academic excellence in the Kingdom, felicitated their shining students for outstanding graduation projects for the first semester of the academic year 2015-2016.

To this end a function was organized recently in joint coordination with college alumni, employment cell, the college quality unit, and the engineering college vice deanship of development and quality to honor distinguished graduation projects for the first semester of the current academic year, a KSU official said on Wednesday.

The objective was to acknowledge the outstanding works by the senior students as well as encourage the junior students as well as promote good projects.

Certificates of excellence and prizes were presented to 18 students for their outstanding projects representing multidisciplinary works.

These project winners were from chemical, mechanical and civil engineering as well as from the college of architecture and planning.

The supervisors of these projects were also lauded.

Besides these 18 students, 24 others from various colleges and departments were honored for their designing works and 26 students for the engineering design course.

Notably, in a bid to develop the capabilities and skills of the university students and faculty members, KSU conducts an academic exchange program with leading worldwide universities.
