King Saud University (KSU) participated in a Career Day organized by the Ministry of Education at the ExCeL exhibition center in London to recruit outstanding Saudi students pursuing higher studies at various universities in the United Kingdom (UK).

Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf, Saudi ambassador to the UK, visited the KSU booth along with Cultural Attache Faisal Abalkhail and a number of officials from the embassy and the Cultural Bureau.

During the visit, the ambassador was briefed by Saad Al-Hussain, KSU dean for faculty and personnel affairs and the supervisor of Recruiting Outstanding Saudi Students Abroad (ROSSA).

Al-Hussain underlined that the sole purpose of participating in the Career Day is to recruit outstanding Saudi students studying at UK universities for jobs in the Kingdom for the best interest of the country and themselves.

He informed the envoy about ROSSA’s new electronic portal that aims to hire outstanding Saudi students in order to streamline the local work force. Al-Hussain presented a memento to Prince Mohammed.

Notably, the program coincided with the fifth graduation ceremony for UK graduates under the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program (KAFSP) for the academic year 2014/2015.

KAFSP was established in order to sponsor Saudi male and female students to pursue higher studies at the best universities around the world at all academic levels to fulfill the requirement of the Kingdom’s expanding market.

The UK is a favorite destination for Saudi students studying abroad under KAFSP.

The participation of KSU in the Career Day outside the Kingdom came with personal guidance and follow-up of KSU Rector Badran Al-Omar.
