MAKKAH: A lawyer has been charged with holding a fake degree certificate and also getting a license for a clinic in Taif through fraudulent means.

According to local media, the documentation of a doctoral dissertation in the Education Ministry revealed that the lawyer had forged it. The Investigation and Public Prosecution Authority in Makkah also found his involvement in bribery and forgery to get a commercial license for a clinic.

The Makkah Public Prosecution Authority charged the lawyer, who said he had received his Ph.D from an Arab country, after he submitted his degree for documentation. 

The lawyer was reportedly kept in custody for three months and released on bail. His papers were sent to the First Criminal Circuit in the Administrative Court related to the Makkah Ombudsman.

Many other people are under investigation, especially those who helped the lawyer get a license for the clinic.
