RIYADH: Lufthansa German Airlines offer its largest schedule ever with total of 24 weekly departures from Saudi Arabia providing a seamless connection between the key cities of the Kingdom and the airline’s hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.

With these convenient connections, Lufthansa continues its long standing tradition of facilitating the closest of ties between the business communities of Germany and Saudi Arabia.

“What started 55 years ago, initially with flights between Frankfurt to Dhahran, has expanded into one of our most important operations globally,” said Harald Hahn, Lufthansa general manager for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, on occasion of German National Unity Day.

Daily flights are operated from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.

Three additional weekly flights are offered between Riyadh and Lufthansa’s Bavarian Hub, Munich – the gateway to Southern Germany and the Alps.

Operating from Frankfurt and Munich, Europe’s most punctual hubs, Lufthansa offers business and leisure travelers from the Kingdom a global network this summer with over 200 destinations in 76 countries.

Passengers from the Kingdom will find seamless connections throughout the Lufthansa network including those to the US and Canada with 20 destinations offered from Frankfurt, making Lufthansa the leader in linking the Middle East with the North Atlantic’s most important financial centers.

“Our passengers’ convenience and comfort have always been paramount to us. More and more personalization is being rolled out to provide our customers a complete and personalized travel experience from the time they book up until their arrival. This fall, our customers will enjoy the full spectrum of our new product offerings on board, with the latest in cabin designs,” added Hahn.

Lufthansa has invested one million Euros daily over the last three years on its on board products, including the retrofitting of over 100 long haul aircraft some of which serve the Kingdom, with Lufthansa’s First, Business, Economy Class as well as new Premium Economy cabin.

In fact, Lufthansa’s Premium Economy Class is already operating on many flights to the Kingdom, with full roll out on the Middle East long haul routes by the start of the 2015/16 Winter Season on Oct. 25.

“We are creating a completely new travel experience that combines affordability with greater comfort. The seats offer up to 50 percent more room than Economy Class, positioning Lufthansa as a leader in premium service in all four classes of service,” Hahn noted.

Lufthansa’s First Class passengers flying throughout Lufthansa’s network of destinations already enjoy the highest quality of service and comfort available.

On a growing number of select destinations in North America as well as Asia, passengers will experience the award-winning First Class cabin on board the Boeing 747-8 — Lufthansa’s newest “Queen of the Skies.”

On board, the superb comfort of the First Class cabin with its ergonomically contoured seat that converts into a fully flat, two-meter long bed has won a 5-star award from Skytrax.

In addition, Lufthansa has retrofitted each and every long haul aircraft this year with the new Business Class offering a fully-flat bed, upgraded meal service a 15” inch TV monitors and one of the most advanced inflight entertainment systems in existence.

“With our product enhancements Lufthansa remains true to its commitment of serving Saudi Arabia as a key pillar in the bourgeoning relationship between the Kingdom and Germany,” said Hahn.
