RIYADH: Things like getting degrees or diplomas or attestation of documents are now just a click away, as the Ministry of Education (MoE) has launched a new online service, “My Results,” for the convenience of students.

Giving details of the service, launched by Education Minister Azzam Al-Dakhil, an official said the "My Results" will also provide services such as getting a copy of the degree or diploma in lieu of missing and damaged one.

“The service will also allow students to make corrections in their documents, if needed, as sometimes wrong entries are made in the name or marks obtained,” Abdul Rahman Al-Barrak, undersecretary for boys’ education at the Ministry of Education (MoE), said.

The new service is regulated with the beneficiary automatically through text messages to them on their online request filling correct details, he said.

The students will also be informed as to when they can come and collect their degrees or diplomas.

The electronic service is linked to a central database that allows to provide service in all departments of education, facilitate the applicants and is electronically routed to the institution concerned from where the applicant has graduated, Al-Barrak said. The service will also help curb issuance of fake diplomas, he added.

Applauding the move, Zeyad Abdullah, a graduate, said: “It is a good move as the online services is user friendly and time saving as they now have to just make online requests for the degree from home.”

He said the service was long overdue and a great development as “we just need to register online and submit personal details through “My Results.”
