Rallying behind coalition forces and Operation Decisive Storm which aims to restore the legitimate government in Yemen, King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh launched a mural to encourage and support the military operation.

In an attempt to rally their support to encourage the coalition forces led by the Kingdom, KSU Rector Badran Al-Omar inaugurated the mural in the main lobby of the university.

On the mural which is titled, “May Our Nation’s Glory Long Prevail,” the KSU rector penned his feelings on the operation.

Al-Omar prayed to the Almighty to help and guide coalition forces and their brothers in Yemen to defeat the rebel militias, who have betrayed the nation, and troubled the people of Yemen and the region.

“We are all ready to sacrifice our lives for our religion and our nation and we thank the custodian of the two holy mosques for his bold move,” the KSU rector underlined.

The inauguration of the mural was attended by a number of vice rectors, deans and employees at the university, who also extended their full support to the military operation.

The vice rectors and faculty members too penned their feeling on the mural. They implored Almighty Allah to bring victory to their nation and to all Islamic nations.

Operation Decisive Storm was launched by coalition forces on March 26 at the request of Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi to protect Yemen and its people from aggression by Houthi militants, whose actions had not only destabilized Yemen, but also threatened “regional and international peace and security.” The Arab summit at Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, on March 29 specified three goals for operation Decisive Storm which includes withdrawal of Houthi militias, surrendering their weapons to the legitimate government and restoring “Yemen’s health and unity.”

Endorsing the military campaign, the Arab summit said that it would “continue until Houthi militias withdraw and surrender their weapons.”
