KSU to attend international workshop on sleep disorders

RIYADH: The King Saud University (KSU) will participate in a four-day 13th annual international workshop on polysomnography (study of sleep disorders) that will begin in Dubai on Dec. 6.
Experts from the University Sleep Disorders Center of King Khalid Hospital and the National Plan for Science and Technology — both KSU bodies — will attend the event, the KSU said in a statement on Sunday.
Polysomnography is a test used for diagnosing sleep disorders and recording brain waves, oxygen level in blood, heart rate and breathing as well as eye and leg movements.
According to the KSU statement, the Dubai workshop is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills needed to perform all types of studies on sleep disorders.
