Military commanders and experts, and politicians have stressed that "North Thunder" drill was one of the largest military exercises in the Middle East, and carried many of the military, political and security implications, explaining that the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman of the conclusion of the activities of the exercise in the presence of the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries was a clear indication of their attention to unite visions toward whatever important to the sovereignty, security and stability of their countries and to deter attempts to prejudice or interference in their affairs.

Retired Saudi Lieutenant General Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Hineidy described North Thunder exercise as one of the largest military alliances in the region in terms of the large number of participating forces and military equipment used in various types of industries in the maritime sectors, air, and land.

While the retired major general Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Ghorabi, said that the maneuvers "North Thunder" was witnessing the first step for the birth of an Islamic and Arab unity against the challenges they face and to promote peace and stability in the region.

He said that the drill showed, on the other hand, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's regional and global role under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in uniting the regional and international visions for the elimination of terrorism, of which crimes exceeded the humanitarian limits.

For his part, the military analyst and professor at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Major General Dr. Jamal Mazloum, described the North Thunder exercise as one of the largest military gathering in the Middle East arena, in which 20 Arab and Muslim countries, from Asia and Africa, stressing that this huge military mobilization comes within the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to support the unity of Arab and Islamic unity.
