The number of bank branches in the Kingdom has increased to 1,931 in February, while the number of ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) to 15,906.

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’s report for February 2015 has revealed that cash withdrawals in the same period was SR72.7 billion compared to SR60.3 billion in January.

The number of selling points for banks was recorded at 148,500, compared to 143,500 with 32.7 million operations and payments reaching over SR14.3 billion, compared to around SR13.6 billion in January.

The total number of bills paid amounted to SR14.9 billion, compared to SR14.1 billion, while unpaid bills were worth SR2.27 million. “Al-Rajhi Bank leads with 503 branches, followed by National Commercial Bank (341), Riyad Bank (332) and Arab National Bank (155) in the Kingdom,” the report, which was released on Sunday, said.
