JUBAIL: Pakistan International School in Jubail (ISJ) organized its 26th annual prize distribution day on Friday.

Pakistan Ambassador Manzoor Ul Haq, the chief guest, and Link Officer Shah Faisal Kakar, the guest of honor, were welcomed by Principal Khawar Hussain and the faculty members.

The kindergarten children presented a welcome song in honor of the chief guest. Hussain presented the annual report and reviewed the progress and results of the academic year 2014-2015.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. An Arabic song was presented by the children.

The principal congratulated the students who won prizes in the school internal exam as well the Federal Board Exam 2014. He appreciated the efforts of the school’s staff and managing committee in conducting the affairs of the school. The outstanding students received prizes from the chief guest, the guest of honor and the principal.

The chief guest also awarded shields and appreciation certificates to the school staff. Hussain presented a memento to the chief guest on the behalf of the school and the community.

The ambassador congratulated the meritorious students and appreciated the efforts of the school principal, the staff for organizing ceremony.

Haq also thanked the parents for their active participation in the ceremony. He emphasized the role of education in shaping the future of children. He assured every kind of help and cooperation for the progress of the school and measures taken by the school management for the cause of uplifting educational standard of the students of PIS-Jubail.

In the girls’ wing, the prize distribution ceremony was held separately. There, Haq and Kakar were welcomed by Principal Hussain and Vice Principal Rashida Tanveer.

The ceremony ended with Pakistan’s national anthem.
