RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s education has seen unprecedented levels of advancement and quality performance not only in local or regional areas but also in the global standard of reference for its global leadership.

The observation was made by Dr. Mohammed Al-Owhali, undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, at the opening of the first Global Conference and Exhibition for Training and Development (GCETD) organized by Princess Nora University (PNU) that kicked off here this week.

Speaking on behalf of Education Minister Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhil, he said: “Such a global event embodies the most important of the priorities of the country’s current top objectives, assurance of quality and giving attention to human development.

“Such endeavors go along with Saudi Arabia’s aim to shift to a knowledge-based community that would be able to generate world-class knowledge and turn it into high-contribution products in the process of development.”

The three-day event has featured 21 scientific sessions and 12 interactive workshops offered by some of the best international speakers in the field of training and human resource development in addition to three certified global center training programs provided by specialists.
