The Ministry of Labor will now allow all licensed and accredited recruitment offices to handle visas for the hiring of rehabilitation professionals and caregivers for citizens with disabilities.

Previously the ministry handled these visas at its offices throughout the country. It issues these visas without charge once applicants have provided information on their needs and a report from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

According to a source quoted in a local publication, the ministry will allow recruitment offices to issue these visas and present them directly to the government of the country where hiring takes place. There would have to be agreement on costs and duration of employment.

The recruitment office will have to submit the visa request on the ministry's Musaned website, which organizes and monitors hiring in the country and aims to protect the interests of all contracted parties.

Meanwhile, the ministry has stopped providing services to a private sector company for failing to pay 274 employees for four months. The ministry ordered the company to pay all delayed wages within 10 days. Officials will check if it follows this instruction.
