Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) employees were recently imparted training in dealing with media to send the right message to clients or consumers.

Khaled Al-Qahs, an expert from Kuwait, who conducted a three-day training workshop here, highlighted the media skills that a spokesman should possess in times of crises.

According to a source from SASO, the topic included the definition of media work and nature of various media outlets, as well as the best way to deal with them that serves the organizational goal while also providing the maximum benefit to consumers.

The theme of the session on the second day was on how to deal with media interviews and the difference between media outlets and the methods to be followed by the speaker.

A session was also devoted to practical training on media interviews, in addition to the preparation of press conferences and dealing with their questions.

The participants expressed their happiness for the attention given by the officials of the commission to upgrade their professions.

The Kuwaiti lecturer hailed SASO’s outstanding efforts and eagerness to upgrade the skills of its employees.

“This is necessary in all areas of work, especially SASO’s work related to safety and consumer,” he added.
