United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan inaugurated the Saudi cultural and heritage exhibition at a tourism fair in the UAE.

Naif Al-Rashidi, deputy consul general in Dubai, and Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, cultural attache, represented the Kingdom during the event.

The four-day exhibition presented the rich and varied Saudi heritage and culture, showing images of Kiswa, folklore dances and songs, traditional food, dates from Madinah, models of Hijazi houses, paintings and historical pictures.

Al-Suhaibani said that the cultural wing of the Saudi royal mission in the UAE organized the exhibition with the aim of highlighting the heritage and culture of the Kingdom to the visitors of the Tourism Village in the UAE.

He thanked Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan for his support in organizing the exhibition and commended the progress of Emirati culture and its preservation.

The cultural attache emphasized that preserving the culture is one of the most important priorities as heritage is the national identity of any nation, as well as their country and their history. Currently, more than 200 different nationalities are living in the UAE with everyone having their own heritage and cultural identity.

He further said that the heritage project between the two countries will help to preserve the culture and heritage for future generations.

Praising the efforts of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, president of the UAE, and King Salman, the envoy stressed their heritage preservation for future generations.

“How beautiful is the history and heritage of the country that is available for generations to see and know about it, we brought our culture over here so the world can understand the culture and heritage of Saudi Arabia, it was our duty to provide the best picture of the heritage and culture of the two brotherly countries and relations between the leadership of the two countries,” he said.
