JEDDAH: A Saudi journalist, Ibrahim Al-Ameen, 35, died in an accident on the Jeddah-Madinah Highway on Wednesday morning.

Al-Ameen was driving a Toyota Yaris which, according to his friends, flipped over because of a tire burst near Yanbu. He was on the way to Jeddah.

Until recently, he worked for Asharq Al-Awsat, a sister publication of Arab News. He was a graduate of King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah.

His friends described him as a knowledgeable and cheerful man who was fluent in four foreign languages. He was laid to rest in Madinah.
