TAIF: The Public Education Evaluation Commission has discovered a number of glaring problems during its evaluation of some 200 private schools across 11 regions, recently.

These include weak educational outcomes, a lack of seriousness in education, increases in absences among students, a lack of care for curriculums, and the summarizing of some school textbooks in poor shorthand forms.

In addition, evaluators found that many students did not appear to care about their education at all.

This comes within the commission’s current mandate to evaluate the nature and quality of all schools around the Kingdom, with the goal of further developing the educational system in the Kingdom, increasing the quality of performance, as well as encouraging creativity and professional standards.

The commission will work to classify private schools according to their quality, capabilities and will make the results of the evaluations public upon completion.

Following the culmination of the evaluations of private schools, the commission will continue by evaluating public schools in the same manner, with a final report expected to be handed to the Ministry of Education soon.
