Minister of Education Azzam Al-Dakheel has urged teachers to work with the community to help improve student examination results.

School administrators should start preparing for the next academic year by discussing issues with parents such as the development of curricula, he was quoted as saying in a local publication on Tuesday.

At a meeting with directors of education, he said the ministry has a new vision for the education system in the country.

On his Twitter account, the minister later said that the scholarship program would be developed to ensure continued benefits for the country. The third phase of the program would commence on the same basis as in the past, he said.

Meanwhile, Najran’s director of general education, Nasir Al-Manei’, said that starting from this Sunday, school gatherings would take place at 6:45 a.m., with the first classes starting at 7 p.m. Primary and intermediary pupils would leave at 1:20 p.m. and secondary pupils at 1:30 p.m.
