A Yemeni organization has declared its support for the Decisive Storm military action against Houthi militias, according to SPA.

Al-Hirak Al-Tihami Al-Silmi, which has its headquarters in the Hadida province, said in a statement on Thursday evening that the action was launched because neighboring Arab “brothers” were worried about threats to “their national interests,” the SPA said.

The group said the Houthis were supported by Iran and should be reined in.

“It is the duty of every Yemeni to counter their attacks with strength and determination.”

The statement said the violent Houthi attacks and occupation of civil, military and government establishments, and most of the southern regions, were aimed at foiling efforts to build a new federal state, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
