JEDDAH: A group of young men has come up with a novel home cinema project.

The project involves providing a cinema hall show for lovers of the entertainment medium by providing projector screens, sound systems and lighting devices with suitable and comfortable chairs.

Talking to a local newspaper, Waleed Abdullah said he decided with his friends to work on the home cinema project because of his knowledge of the young people’s love for films and knowledge of all new happenings in the art world, which means young people spend a lot of hours watching them during their overseas travel.

Since scene engineering, and sound and visual effects are important elements of the cinema, which includes scenario, dialogue, filming, montage, sound effects visual music and actors, being the most important element, Waleed and his friends focused on creating the new medium that reaches the homes of people interested in enjoying cinema atmosphere.

Maisa Al-Sweilim of Celebration Coordination Company said the production of Star Wars in 1977 is considered as the start of using computers and modern technology in designing special effects and this phase witnessed the spread of computer, home video and wired television, and used large budgets to bring films to people.
