The Dirab Ladies Group held its last event of the 2015-2016 season last Wednesday at the Dirab Golf & Country Club.
Wendy McLaughlin and Martina O’Reilly combined to shoot the winning net score of 55 in the two ball Texas Scramble format competition sponsored by the club.
The winning pair had 18-hole gross total of 77 and 22 handicap Paromita Mukherjee and Pia Engborg came in second on 57 (71-14), while the tandem of Eilish Byrne and Christy Roe wound up in third place, a further stroke back on 58 (82-24).
For the skill prizes, the closest to the pin went to Roberta Hobbs, longest drive to Paromita, straight drive to Hyejin Byoun and longest putt to O’Reilly.
The awarding cereony took place at the clubhouse after the tournament. The group takes a breather during the summer and resumes for the new 2016-207 season in September.
