The first integrated tourist center in Jeddah was recently inaugurated under the patronage of Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed by the director general of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in Makkah, Abdullah Al-Omari.

During the opening event, thousands of visitors were present, along with businessmen, businesswomen, notable community leaders, artists, sports stars, media personalities, as well as young producers and others interested in travel and tourism.

Al-Omari said that the center is an initiative of the Aba Alraki Organization Tourist Development Council, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and the National Program for Traditional Industries.

The official also expressed his satisfaction regarding the creativity of the young Saudi men and women who gave the best example of their skills to decorate the center.

According to him, the traditional products displayed at the center also helps provide visitors with a better understanding of the country’s heritage.

The government is paying particular attention to help launch and support youth projects, while providing the necessary support for developing careers.

Hafia Naj, director of Alraki Events, praised the support given by Prince Mishaal to boost the development of domestic tourism.

Naj explained that the center is located in an area comprising about five thousand square meters with number of tourism projects, divided into different sectors.

Dr. Jasser Herbish, general supervisor of the national program, said one of the goals of the center is to provide an opportunity to embody the dreams of young men and women, and turn them into reality.
