RIYADH: Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) says it is its responsibility to ensure the safety of transactions of domestic and foreign companies.
Maaden Secretary General Bakr Al-Haboub reiterated this when he presented a working paper on Smash Corruption at a seminar organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The seminar was held as part of last week’s International Anti-Corruption Day.
Al-Haboub said the company's values are widely known, which include credibility and fairness of the highest ethical and professional standards with all stakeholders.
Al-Haboub pointed out that the company has been focusing on a comprehensive system of governance aimed at raising the level of transparency, and promoting sound relations between the company's management and board of directors, and owners and all related parties.
He said that the financial lists of the company are characterized by comprehensiveness and quality in their preparation, adding that the company was nominated in 2013 by the Association of Investors Relations in the Middle East for the annual third award in investors relations in the Kingdom, which it won. Based on its role in the definition of investment climate in the Kingdom, the company was again nominated this year for promoting investors relations in the Middle East.
