AWAL IT Services, a major IT services provider participated as IT Services Partner in the Saudi Arabia CIO Summit 2014, of the International Data Corporation (IDC) which concluded at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The company's sponsorship of the event is part of its ongoing commitment to keep in line with latest information and communication technology (ICT) developments and leverage state-of-the-art technologies and modern trends to develop and promote its wide portfolio of high-end solutions and services to address customer aspirations and drive industry growth in Saudi Arabia.

Held with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the summit gathered over 120 industry experts to overview the new challenges facing CIOs in using the four pillars of technology that include cloud computing, big data, mobile technologies and social media.

They also discussed the effective role of technology in supporting the business sector and its direct impact on all relevant aspects and work teams. The event offered an interactive platform for CIOs to exchange ideas, expertise and success stories, to help boost existing and potential mutual cooperation opportunities among industry leaders, which would ultimately benefit the local ICT industry.
