The Safe Driving, Life Saving awareness campaign, organized by the BMG Foundation and its sponsors and partners, ended with an awards ceremony in Dammam recently.

The award-winning students were acknowledged in the presence of BMG Foundation Chairman Basil Al-Ghalayini and one of the BMG Foundation prominent sponsors and partners, Haji Husein Alireza (HHA), represented by its VP for Marketing Mazen Ashaary. HHA sponsored the first prize and awarded the winning student Lina Al-Abaad (University of Dammam) a new 2014 Geely Emgrand EC7.

Ashaary said: “It was with great pleasure that HHA took part in the awards ceremony for the top two finalists of the Safe Driving Life Saving Campaign ads and videos competition. Safe driving has always been a subject close to our hearts as the unnecessary loss of life and injuries resulting from irresponsible driving habits remains a constant plague on our society.”

He said: “That is why HHA jumped at the chance of joining BMG’s initiative on such a noble cause and found it fit to offer a vehicle from its Emgrand line as a reward since the brand embodies the highest measures of safety (including a five star crash test award) in an economical package.”

BMG Foundation has embraced the vision of social responsibility and throughout the years developed, promoted and implemented initiatives, which involve the youth and address social challenges in the Kingdom.

The latest initiative is titled "Safe Driving, Life Saving" and aims to create a platform for cooperation and partnership between the youth and the established professionals, decision-makers, academic institutions, and the corporations, where the youth — through an online competition — will creatively contribute to raising awareness and advocate for safe driving and prevent further loss of life on the streets of Saudi Arabia and wider GCC region.
