Communications and Information Technology Commission Gov. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, accompanied by a delegation, inspected the Mobily’s preparations for the current Haj season.

Ahmad Farroukh, CEO, Mobily, and Maziad Al-Harbi, CEO and chief of Haj Committee, as well as a number of Mobily’s officials were present at the Muzdalifah reception to the governor.

Mobily’s management welcomed the CITC governor and delegation, who inspected Mobily's work and the preparations done in terms of the network's readiness for the success of the Haj season and to provide services to the pilgrims and visitors.

A detailed presentation about the infrastructure development projects at the holy sites and the Haj Central Zone was given, showing the role of FTTH network in interconnecting the fixed and moving towers, including the Jamarat Bridge, to ensure smooth streaming of local and international calls and movement of data without disconnections.

The work team reviewed the sales and marketing plans, which provide integrated services to pilgrims at competitive prices.

Farroukh expressed his delight over the visit of the governor and his delegation to Mobily’s premises, and stated that the interest shown by the government in Haj preparations was exemplary. The Kingdom’s telecom sector finds a remarkable support from the government, which is obviously reflected in Vision 2030.

Mobily has announced its comprehensive plan covering all operational aspects for this year’s Haj season; this is attributed to its huge experience over the years.

Mobily boasts of having an integrated infrastructure and remaining always close to pilgrims through its main branches and outlets across the holy sites as also at land, air, and sea entry ports and miqats. Mobily has more than 100 points of sale (POS) offering special promotions.

Mobily is also participating for the seventh consecutive year as a strategic partner for the Haj National Media Campaign to enhance awareness of the pilgrims.
