Eram Scientific Solutions, India’s first Etoilet manufacturing company, has received Gold Medal in the newly constituted Express IT Awards for Innovations using infromation technology.

Siddeek Ahmed, chairman & managing director, Eram Group, received the award from Shri K. J. George, Home Minister of Karnataka during a recent event held in Bangalore. Eram has been conferred the Gold Medel under the category “IT Innovation Awards for MSMEs” for its remarkable contribution in the sanitation front using innovative and developmental approaches.

“This is the sixth national award for us this year and it encourages us to intervene more in the sanitation sector using innovative technologies,” says Siddeek Ahmed.

Eram Scientific (www.eramscientific.com ) that has got ISO 9001:2008 certification this year, has installed over 400 eToilets in various locations including Kerala and has received 25 International and national Awards for its attempt made to better the lives of the common man by providing access to improvised sanitation facilities.

Eram has successfully demonstrated "Self Sustainable Electronic Toilet" that works with Solar and Atmospheric Water generator in this year’s World Toilet Day on Nov. 19, 2013.

The award Jury was headed by Sri Nandan Nilekani, chairman, Unique Identification Authority of India.
