Excpy, an app designed and built in Bahrain by Relocent Technologies, has partnered with Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions to help visitors navigate through the Gulf Industry Fair (GIF) 2017 venue.

“The app allows companies at the exhibition to guide customers to their stand either through directions or through targeted adverts and messages,” said Sanu Karuvilla, founding partner of Relocent Technologies.

Excpy will create a virtual GeoFence around Bahrain Exhibition Center, the venue of GIF 2017. By understanding the user’s preference, Excpy searches for companies that would interest the visitor and informs him about them. It allows the user of the app to search for products around him and provides directions to those places.

The app uses advanced algorithms to ensure users are guided to products and services of their choice.

Whenever a user crosses the GeoFence, he will gain access to a stream of information related to the event. Even if the user is outside the venue of the fair but within Bahrain, he will be able to receive information and directions related to GIF 2017.

“At the Gulf Industry Fair, you can use Excpy to search for exhibitors around you. You can also browse through all the exhibitor related information and use the ‘Get Directions’ feature to navigate through the venue,” said Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions, which is organizing the event. “We are excited about introducing this app, which is ‘Made in Bahrain’ at our exhibition,” he added.

Visitors who download the app can also use it for improving their shopping experiences in malls and retail outlets across Bahrain.
