As EXPO Milano 2015 prepares to open its doors to an expected 20 million visitors, Oman Air has been named as the event’s preferred authorized re-seller for Oman.

The Omani national airline has published the offer of tickets for sale and details of how they can be purchased.

EXPO Milano 2015, which takes place between May 1 and Oct. 31, themed "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life." The event will last for six months and is dedicated to the challenges of nutrition and sustainable development.

It will provide a neutral global platform upon which all stakeholders can gather to share common goals and combine the best ideas and contributions to create a useful legacy for the future. It will also provide a showcase for innovation and inspiration, as well as opportunities to network and to share experiences and best practice on sustainability and nutrition.

Around 148 countries, including Oman, will take part and, in addition to the 20 million anticipated visitors, one billion people are expected to attend online.

As a preferred authorized reseller, Oman Air will sell tickets for EXPO Milano 2015 to tour operators, travel agents, government offices, companies, schools, colleges and individual travelers.

Oman Air’s five-year experience of nonstop flying from Muscat to Milan will offer visitors the ideal way of traveling to the event.

From Jan. 1, the airline increased the number of flights it offers on Airbus A330s between the two cities from four per week to daily.
